This Homemade Mac & Cheese is creamy, extra-cheesy, and finished in the oven for that irresistible golden crust. Cook and bake it all in the GoodCook Removable Handle Frypan—then top with freshly grated cheese using our GoodCook Grater. Because with the right tools, anyone can be a good cook.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. In the GoodCook Removable Handle 12-inch Frypan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in flour to create a roux, then slowly add milk, stirring until thickened.
  4. Add cheddar and Parmesan; stir until melted and smooth.
  5. Fold in cooked pasta.
  6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs if desired, then bake in the same pan (handles removed) at 375°F for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Grate extra cheese using the GoodCook Cheese Grater before serving.
