- Cook Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 35 minutes
- Yield: 8
- 1 – 8 pack of hot dogs
- 8 – 11 inch skewers
- 8 hot dog buns
- Toppings: diced onion, relish, jalapenos, sauerkraut etc.
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Take one hot dog and push a skewer through the length of the hot dog. Try to stay in the center, but it is forgiving and you can backtrack if needed. Repeat with remaining hot dogs, and skewers.
Take a small knife and on a slight angle cut down to the skewer, keeping the knife on the same angle slowly rotate the hot dog away from you. This will create a spiral cut from one end to the other. Repeat with remaining hot dogs.
In a medium bowl, combine all sauce ingredients and mix until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Prepare desired toppings and place in fridge until ready to use.
Remove skewers and cook hotdogs on preheated grill. Slowly rotate to get grill marks on all sides. The hotdog should plump up and darken in color.
Assemble hotdogs and enjoy.
