Chocolate and Red Wine Cookie Bars

Bold, rich, and utterly delicious, these chocolate and red wine cookie bars bring adventure to dessert time. If you love red wine and adore chocolate, these moist, scrumptious bars are a must bake!


  • 1(18.3 oz) fudge brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray a Good Cook 9x13" AirPerfect Baking Sheet with nonstick coconut oil spray. In a large bowl, stir together brownie mix, butter, red wine, flour and egg. Mix until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread into prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or just until the center springs back when touched lightly. Remove and cool completely before icing. For the frosting: whisk together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, butter and red wine. Spread onto cookies bars. Gently stir together fruit and cherries. Drizzle over cookie bars. Cut into bars before serving.
