If you love baking up homemade goodies for friends, neighbors and coworkers each December, you’re going to love this recipe. It’s quick and simple, easy to double or triple the batch, plus it looks so pretty when baked in colorful Sweet Creations Holiday Wrappers. Everyone on your block will dub you Pinterest Royalty when you share these pretty loaves of sweetbread. Kissed with fresh cranberries and drizzled with a frosty icing, there’s not a faster way to bake up something sweet for the holidays. The best part? This recipe calls for just a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.
Flour, butter, sugar and eggs. Plus a few others basics. The most exotic ingredient in this recipe is a bag of fresh cranberries. Frozen bags of cranberries will also work. Just steer clear of canned or dried cranberries, which will dramatically alter the final flavor and texture of these loaves. You need the bright, pop of tartness that comes from fresh or frozen cranberries to offset the soft, sweet texture of this bread. So, hit the stores and hunt down those cranberries.
Can’t find cranberries? Feel free to swap in fresh or frozen blueberries, blackberries, raspberries or even diced strawberries instead.
Quick, versatile and so totally festive, we think you’ll love adding this recipe to your holiday baking list. And we know your neighbors will love it, too!
