Honey Garlic Knots
Sweet meets savory with these honey garlic dinner rolls. Simple and delicious, these easy-to-make rolls are perfect for Thanksgiving.
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
- Total Time: 2 hours 45 minutes
- Yield: 24 Knots
- 1 cup very warm water
- 1 packet yeast
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3 1/2-4 cups flour
- Olive oil spray
- 3 cloves garlic, finely crushed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- Fresh chopped parsley
In a large bowl, stir together water, yeast and sugar. Allow to sit for 5 minutes. If the mixture begins to foam, the yeast is activated and ready for the next step.
Whisk in cream and salt. Slowly add flour, stirring to incorporate. Add just enough flour to a create a soft dough that is not sticky to the touch. Knead for 5-7 minutes. Place in a clean bowl, coat with olive oil spray. Allow to rise in a warm spot on countertop until double in bulk, about 1-1 1/2 hours.
Turn dough out of bowl. Roll small pieces of dough (about the size of a golf ball) into long thin ropes, twist and knot. Place on a nonstick or parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow to rise for 20 minutes more.
Heat oven to 350°F.
Finely chop garlic with the Good Cook Garlic Rock and Roller. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter with garlic and honey. Drizzle half of mixture over rolls. Bake in preheated oven for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown, basting rolls once with honey-garlic butter. Remove rolls from oven, immediately drizzle remaining honey-garlic butter over the top. Serve warm and enjoy!
