Decorating gingerbread houses is a sweet holiday tradition for many families. But if you’ve ever tried to make them from scratch, or stood over a pile of cookie pieces, trying to coax them into standing up with a sticky bag of royal icing, you’ll know what we mean when we say gingerbread housing can be a real pain.
Well, it’s time to toss those graham crackers! And forget grandma’s finicky homemade gingerbread recipe. You know the one we’re talking about–that so-thick-it’s-impossible-to stir, requires-hours-of-chilling-time, spreads-out-when-it’s-cooking-so-you-can’t-even-cut-out-a-decent-gingerbread-house-anyway dough–and whip up a quick batch of our easy Ginger Shortbread, instead.
Made with dark brown sugar and easy-to-find spices, you’ll enjoy all of that soft, butter gingerbread cookie flavor, without any of the muss or fuss.
