5-Ingredient Sugar Cookie Bars

Our 5-Ingredient Sugar Cookie recipe makes the perfect base for these quick and easy Sugar Cookie Bars.


  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, softened but not melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat together egg, butter, and sugar until very well combined. Add flour and vanilla, mix until a thick dough forms. Press dough into the bottom of a Good Cook AirPerfect 9x13" baking pan. Bake for 18-25 minutes, or just until the center of the dough is set and the edges begin to turn a light golden brown. Remove and cool completely. Frost with buttercream frosting (recipe in the Notes section below). Decorate with a variety of sprinkles.
