Serve cheeseburger pizza when you want to mix up the dinner menu but keep the flavors familiar.
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 1 prepared pizza crust
- 3/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 2-3 cups shredded cheddar-jack cheese
- 1 tomato, very thinly sliced
- 1 cup ground beef, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup diced purple onions
- 1/4 cup sliced dill pickles
Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Place pizza stone in oven, preheat for 15 minutes.
Place hot stone in chrome rack.
Sprinkle with cornmeal. Add pizza dough to the top of the stone.
Spread dressing atop the dough. Top with cheese, tomato, ground beef, onions and pickles.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and begins to bubble.
Allow to cool slightly before slicing & serving.
