Whether you spike them with booze or simply use mixer without liquor, these Bloody Mary Shrimp Shooters are guaranteed to wow your guests. Super simple to prepare, these tasty two-bite shooters are about to become the life of any shindig. The salty kiss of Bloody Mary mixer, the smoky flavor of butter-grilled lime shrimp–this recipe is a go-to favorite for any occasion.
Here’s how to prepare a batch for your next party. Grab some pre-made Bloody Mary mix. Traditional, spicy, organic, homemade. Any sort will do. You can also use V8 or flavored tomato juice, as well. If desired, spike with tequila, then pour into the bottom 1/3 of wide shot glasses.
Time to prep the shrimp! Thaw 12 large, peeled, raw shrimp. Gently dry off with a paper towel until the moisture is mostly gone, then generously pepper. Add a pinch of cayenne and celery salt, as well, for extra flavor boom.
Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a Good Cook Smart Choice 7 7/8″ Fry Pan and cook until shrimp is pink and cooked through, with golden brown edges.
Remove from heat, toss with lime juice and zest. Allow to cool slightly, then skewer two shrimp on 4″ Frilled Toothpicks or Cocktail Skewers. Gently slide into the prepared shot glasses and garnish with parsley.

Bloody Mary Shrimp Shooters
It’s time to party! And this appetizer looks as good as it tastes. Savory Bloody Mary mix paired with butter-lime shrimp. A total must-try.

- 6-9 ounces Bloody Mary mixer
- 3-6 ounces tequila (to taste) (optional)
- 12 large, raw, peeled shrimp (thawed)
- 2 teaspoons fresh-ground pepper
- pinch of cayenne
- pinch of celery salt
- 4 tablespoons Challenge Butter
- juice and zest of 1 lime
- 6 sprigs parsley
If using tequila, mix tequila and Bloody Mary mix together over ice in a cocktail shaker (if not using alcohol, simply shake mixer). Pour into six 3-ounce shot glasses. Set aside. Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel. Pepper generously, add a pinch of cayenne and celery salt. In a Good Cook skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add shrimp to hot butter and cook until pink. Flip and cook the other side until cooked through. Remove from heat, drizzle with lime juice and zest. Allow to cool slightly, then skewer two shrimp each onto six 4″ toothpicks or cocktail skewers. To serve, slide shrimp skewers into prepared shot glasses. Garnish with parsley. Serve warm or cold.
