To really take “tasty” to a whole new level, our dogs were wrapped in salty bacon, then served in salty pretzel buns topped with bleu cheese. Yep. That recipe is real, and it’s happening right now.

Bacon-Wrapped Bison Burger Dogs

Serves 4     adjust servings

Turn ground meat into a burger dog with these deliciously simple recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground bison
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • fresh ground pepper
  • 4 pretzel or hot dog buns
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 cup bleu cheese
  • 1 tomato, diced

Instructions

Mix together bison, salt and pepper. Press mixture into the Good Cook Hot Dog Shaper. Grill or cook on stovetop until cooked through. Serve dog in a pretzel bun garnished with mayo and lettuce. Top with bleu cheese and tomato.
