Bacon Orange Crescent Rollups

Bacon Orange Crescent Rollups

Pull out the pack of refrigerate crescent dough! We’ve got a wonderful 3-ingredient recipe perfect for your next brunch. Buttery crescents are used as a base for a cinnamon-roll style pastry. Only this time, there’s no cinnamon! We’re slathering on orange marmalade, instead. Topping it with bacon, then baking with a sparkling sugared crust.

The end result is a 4-ingredient eat perfect for breakfast, brunch or your next party. The best part–with our Good Cook 24-count muffin pan, you can bake up one big batch, making more than enough to feed your hungry guests. The pan also perfectly fits one box of muffin mix, so whether you’re making muffins or these delicious bacon rollups, use this pan to expedite the prep and cooking process.

Bacon Orange Crescent Rollups

Prepping this recipe is fun and simple. Just 4 basic ingredients and 15 minutes. Start by rolling out the crescent dough. A rolling pin helps press together the perforations. Then schmear with orange marmalade, place 6 rows of cooked bacon across the dough, roll up and dip in sugar. To make 24 rollups, you’ll need 4 packs of crescent dough. If desired, double or halve the recipe, to customize to the crowd.

Fun Flavor Twists

Enjoy this recipe as written below. Or try these easy upgrades:

  • Pepper Jelly Rollups. Instead of marmalade, use pepper jelly or spicy blackberry jelly instead.
  • Bacon Jam. Double up on the bacon flavor here with bacon jam, instead of marmalade. The bacon-lovers in your life will love this version!
  • Chocolate Dipped. For extra yum, melt dark chocolate chips and dip the bottoms of each roll into them before serving. Or sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top of the marmalade before adding bacon.

Bacon Orange Crescent Rollups - They're just like cinnamon rolls, but spiked with orange marmalade and love.

Bacon Orange Crescent Rollups

Refrigerated crescent dough gets an upgrade with sweet orange marmalade and salty bacon in this easy breakfast pastry.

Ingredients

  • 4 (8 oz) containers refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 cups orange marmalade
  • 24 strips cooked bacon
  • 2/3 cup sparkling sugar (optional)
  • nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

Heat oven to 350ºF. Spray a Good Cook 24-count nonstick muffin tin with nonstick. Open one container of crescents. Unroll on a clean workspace. Use a rolling pin to seal the perforations together. Spread 1/4 cup marmalade on top of both rectangles. Lay 6 slices of bacon atop rectangle, parallel to shortest side of dough and evenly spaced from top to bottom. Gently roll up dough, rolling in the direction that spirals the bacon from one end to the other. With a sharp knife, cut dough into 6 pieces using a sharp knife, slicing between each bacon strip. Dip the tops of each roll into sparkling sugar. Place rolls into prepared muffin tin. Repeat with remaining crescent containers. Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until the top of each rollup is medium golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before removing from muffin tin.

  • 2 egg
  • 2/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a stand mixer, mix together sugar, egg, peanut butter, butter, and molasses until creamy. Add ginger, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, flour, baking powder, and salt.
