5-Ingredient Baked Spaghetti Ramen

Ramen HDR

If you think spaghetti and meatballs is too labor intensive for a weeknight dinner, think again! This made over, easy 5 Ingredient One Pot Spaghetti Ramen takes just a few minutes to prepare.

Growing up we always had a very basic spaghetti once a week for dinner. It was easy and everyone liked it. Something like spaghetti and meatballs was reserved for special occasions only because it took time to prepare the meatballs that a weeknight just didn’t allow.

With this 5-Ingredient One Pot Spaghetti Ramen, a once labor intensive dish is transformed to something easy enough for a busy night.

ramenspaghetti_edited-1

First, you’ll heat some marinara sauce in a large saucepan, like the Good Cook Classic 2-Quart Saucepan. For the sauce, feel free to select  your favorite store-bought version, then toss in some ready-made frozen Italian meatballs and a bit of chicken broth.

Once sauce is warmed and the meatballs are thawed, stir in cooked ramen noodles and transfer to a casserole dish.

ramenspaghetti-2_edited-1

The Good Cook 9″ Ceramic Pie Plate is the ideal bowl for serving for this simple casserole, plus it gives a nice presentation with the scalloped edge and glazed red color.

Sprinkle plenty of cheese on top. I like to use a pre-shredded Italian blend to keep it flavorful and easy, but you can also use plain mozzarella or parmesan if that is what you have on hand.

ramenspaghetti-5_edited-1

Now bake the dish, uncovered, just until everything is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly on top. Once removed from the oven, top with plenty of thinly sliced fresh basil leaves for a pop of color and extra flavor.

You can definitely mix this up by adding sautéed veggies to the mix if you like. Mushrooms, bell peppers, or chopped fresh spinach are perfect additions if you have any of them on hand.

My kids loved this fun take on spaghetti and meatballs and I loved how easy it was to whip up!

For best results, prep this recipe right before it’s time to serve. Though lime juice will keep the avocado from browning quickly, the mixture will start to weep and wilt if chopped and mixed hours before serving.

This salsa is tasty, but tender. Take care to not over-stir the mixture. And consider serving it in single-sized bowls or ramekins, like the Good Cook 4-oz Ceramic Ramekins, which come with a seal-tight lid. Or top them with one of our colorful silicone lids, which can be sealed with a single press of the finger. No finicky peeling or pulling required to remove these toppers!

  • 1 cup of cooked ground beef seasoned with taco meat
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Thaw puffed pastry according to package directions. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. With a rolling pin, roll out a sheet of puff pastry on a parchment-lined workspace. Begin making cuts from the edge of the glass to the edge of the puff pastry round about 1 1/2 inches thick all the way around. Remove glass, twirl each slit into a twist. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Garnish with cilantro. Serve and enjoy.
